NEW MATERIAL:A 4-amino-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-5-one-1,1-dioxide derivative shown by the formula I (R1 is lower alkyl, or lower cycloalkyl; R2 is lower alkylmercapto, amino, lower alkylamino, or lower dialkylamino).
EXAMPLE: 6-Cyclohexyl-4-amino-3-methylthio-1,2,4,6-thiatriazine-5-one-1,1-oxide.
USE: A herbicide. Showing effect on broadleaf weeds in plowed fields, etc., having no phytotoxicity to cause troubles on main crops.
PROCESS: For example, a thiatriazinone derivative shown by the formula II(R'2 is alkylmercapto) is reacted with a hydroxyamine derivative shown by the formula R5-O-NH2(R5 is acyl, hydroxysulfonyl, etc.) in the presence of a base, to give a compound shown by the formula III wherein R2 is R'2 among compounds shown by the formula I .
