PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and compositions to be used for treatment and diagnosis of diseases and disorders caused by or associated with amyloid proteins or amyloid-like proteins including amyloidosis and a group of disorders and abnormalities related to amyloid proteins such as Alzheimer's disease.SOLUTION: The invention provides a novel method and a composition comprising a highly specific and highly effective antibody, which antibody has an ability to specifically recognize and bind a certain epitope of a β-amyloid protein over a certain range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
