Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:Compounds of formula I (R1 is protecting group for amino group; R2 is protecting group for hydroxyl group).

EXAMPLE: (4R,5R)-4-[(S)-(1-benzylamino-2-cyclohexyl)ethyl]-5-be-n-zyloxymethyl- 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane.

USE: An intermediate for production of medical drugs.

PREPARATION: A cyclohexylmethylmagnesium halide of formula II (X is Cl, Br or I) is reacted with a cerium halide anhydride of formula III (Y is Cl, Br or I) at -80 to 0°C for 100min-1hr. 1,2-addition reaction is carried out by adding an imine derivative of formula IV to the resultant reaction solution, thus producing the objective compound of formula I.
