PURPOSE: To provide a novel 5-aminoacetylaminosulfone anilide compound having antiinflammatory activity, antipyretic activity, analgesic activity and antiallergic activity and its salt.
CONSTITUTION: A 5-aminoacetylaminosulfone anilide compound of formula I (R1 is phenyl, halophenyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl; R2 is H, 1-5C alkyl; R3 is H, 1-7C alkyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, 3-5C alkenyl, benzyl, or R2 and R3 together form a 5-7 membered heterocyclic ring), e.g. N-[5-butylaminoacetylamino)-4-nitro-2- phenoxyphenyl]methane sulfonamide. The compound of formula I is produced e.g. by sulfonating 2-fluoro-5-nitroaniline as a starting raw material, etherizing the product, reducing the nitro group of the product to produce a compound of formula IV, and further successively converting by way of a compound of formula VI (X is Cl, Br, I) and a compound of formula VII.
