Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I.

USE: The compound is useful for testament of mammals infected with microorganisms, and is useful as a pesticides and a medicament.

PROCESS: The acetal-protecting group is removed by hydrolysis of compound (e.g. benzenesulfonyloxy compound, etc.), of formula II (R is a lower alkyl, a cycloalkyl, a mono- or bicyclic cycloalkyl, a carbocyclic aryl or aralkyl, two of R form up to an 8C alkylene wherein the carbon number in the chain is 4-5, or one or R is a lower alkyl and the other is H). It is preferred to remove the acetyl-protecting group by an acid, preferably a strongly acidic on-exchange resin.
