PURPOSE: To provide the subject novel antagonistic agent which has inhibitory activities against platelet aggregation and subsequent thrombus formation and is useful for the prevention and treatment of thrombosis.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided a compound of formula I {wherein X1-X3 are each C, N, S or O with the proviso that at least one of them is C; X4-X7 are each C, N, S or O with the proviso that at least two of them are C; X3a is C or N; B is a basic group attached to a six-membered ring via a bonding group -(Lb)- [wherein -(Lb)- is a bond or 1-15C bivalent (substituted)chain]; A is an acidic group attached to a five-membered ring via a bonding group -(La)- [wherein -(La)- is a bond or 1-15C bivalent (substituted)chain]; (n) is an integer of 1-5; (R1)n is an organic group attached to at least one atom of X1-X3 in the five-membered ring; R1 is A, A-(La)-, H, alkyl or the like; (R2)m is an organic group attached to at least one atom of X4-X7 in the six-membered ring; R2 is B, B-(Lb)-, H, alkyl or the like; (m) is an integer of 1-7}, e.g. a compound of formula II and the like. The compound of formula I is obtained starting from the corresponding nitrile.
