Title:
6,000 SERIES ALUMINUM ALLOY HOLLOW EXTRUDED MATERIAL HAVING EXCELLENT HIGH TEMPERATURE EXPANDED TUBE FORMABILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011195912
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a 6,000 series aluminum alloy hollow extruded material for high temperature expanded tube forming, wherein the coarsening of the crystal grains of a formed article can be suppressed, and the generation of cavities can be reduced.

The 6,000 series aluminum alloy hollow extruded material having excellent high temperature expanded tube formability is characterized in that the area ratio of cavities of a formed article obtained by subjecting a 6,000 series aluminum alloy hollow extruded material comprising, by mass, 0.05 to 0.2% Mn and 0.05 to 0.2% Cr to high temperature expanded tube forming in the temperature range of 400 to 560°C is ≤2%, and also, the average crystal grain size of the formed article is ≤150 μm.
