Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R1 is methyl, or ethyl; R2 is lower alkyl, halogen, nitro, etc.; R3 is H, lower alkyl, hydroxyl group, etc.; or R2 and R3 are linked to form methylenedioxy).
EXAMPLE: 1-Ethyl-6-fluoro-7-[3-(4-methylphenyl)-1-piperazinyl]-4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid.
USE: Having wide antibacterial action on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, useful as a drug.
PROCESS: A 7-chloro-4-oxo-1,4-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid derivative shown by the formula II is reacted with a substituted phenylpiperazine derivative shown by the formula III in the absence of a solvent or in a solvent(e.g., benzene, etc.) at room temperature W200°C, to give a compound shown by the formula I .
