Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the production of a flash on the trace of a gate of a product by incorporating an insert die for a gate cut pin into a mold and forming a pin through-hole facing a cavity along the sliding direction of the gate cut pin.
CONSTITUTION: After resin in a cavity 21 and a runner 24 is cooled and solidified to a certain degree, a gate cut pin 43 is moved forward to a movable mold 12 by driving a fluid pressure cylinder device. The resin solidified in a shutter and the runner 24 is cut at a gate 25 by a blade section 51 of the gate cut pin 43. Then a fixed mold 11 and the movable mold are mold opened. At that time, the resin solidified in the molded shutter and a sprue and the runner 24 is released from the fixed mold 11, and then ejected by an ejection pin and released from the movable mold 12. As both ends of the blade section 51 form sharp edges, the cutting of resin at the gate 25 can be carried out securely and the gate is cut in a good manner.
