Abstract:
To provide a compact ACG cover enabling a reduction shaft boss and a sensor mounting boss to be disposed proximally even when the reduction shaft boss for supporting a reduction shaft of a speed reduction gear mechanism and the sensor boss for mounting a pulsar sensor are provided in the ACG cover.SOLUTION: An ACG cover for an internal combustion engine that is used for an internal combustion engine E including an AC generator 40 in a crank shaft 10 and a pulsar sensor 45 includes: a side wall 51 opposing to the AC generator 40; and a peripheral wall 52 provided around the side wall 51. The ACG cover also includes a reduction shaft boss 54 and one or more sensor mounting bosses 55, 56. In the compact ACG cover, a bearing part 54d of the reduction shaft boss 54 is disposed at a position nearer to the side wall 51 in the crank shaft direction L compared to a boss part 55a of the proximal side sensor mounting boss 55, so as to enable the reduction shaft boss and the sensor mounting boss to be disposed proximally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
