To provide a solid imaging device for AFAE having the AE function of performing backlight sensing for a compact camera (silver salt, digital).
A plurality of photoelectric conversion element arrays for AF 1A to 7A and 1B to 7B for multipoint AF; a first photoelectric conversion elements for AE S1 to S7 for photometry of AF positions given by the photoelectric conversion element arrays for AF; and a second photoelectric conversion element for AE WO for photometry of a photographing area wider than the AF positions are integrated on a same semiconductor substrate. Each device has blocks 100, 101 comprising a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements for AF, and the first and the second photoelectric conversion elements for AE are provided between the blocks. Furthermore, the first photoelectric conversion elements for AE are provided at the spatial inside of the second photoelectric conversion element for AE, and the second photoelectric conversion element for AE is divided plurally, and used with being selected according to an image angle.
