Abstract:

To obtain an alloy having high yield strength and the other desirable mechanical properties such as high ultimate tensile strength and tensile ductility by heat treatment for ≤48 hr while maintaining high corrosion resistance to an oxidizing catalyst and a reducing catalyst.

A nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy contains, by weight, 19.5-22% chromium, 15-17.5% molybdenum, up to 3% iron, up to 1.5% manganese, up to 0.5% aluminum, up to 0.02% carbon, up to 0.015% boron, up to 0.5% silicon and up to 1.5% tungsten, with a balance of nickel and impurities.
