Abstract:
To provide a technique for modeling pre-laid powder materials using a DED nozzle.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, there is provided an AM device for manufacturing a modeling object, the AM device having a DED nozzle. The DED nozzle comprises: a DED nozzle body; a laser mouth for emitting a laser beam provided at the tip of the DED nozzle body; a laser passage that communicates with the laser mouth and allows the laser beam to pass through the main body of the DED nozzle; a powder mouth for emitting the powder material provided at the tip of the main body of the DED nozzle; and a powder passage that is connected to the powder mouth and allows the powder material to pass through the main body of the DED nozzle. The AM device further has a cover surrounding the laser mouth and the powder mouth of the DED nozzle, the cover being open on the downstream side in the direction of emission of the laser beam. The cover has a gas supply channel for supplying gas to the inside of the cover, and the gas supply channel is oriented to direct the gas toward the DED nozzle body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
