Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discard circuit capable of preventing an unnecessary increase of a queue length and a delay by efficiently performing frame discard when seen from an overall network in a multistage line concentration structure in an access section.SOLUTION: The discard circuit comprises: means for acquiring the queue length of an output queue; and means for receiving information from another communication device. The discard circuit receives an input frame having any one color out of different N-types of colors marked therein. Based on the one color, the queue length and the received information, the discard circuit determines frame discard, so as to discard the frame upon determining that the frame is to be discarded.
