Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a thermal protection function, when an ablator is used to protect the internal equipment of a flight body against a temperature rise due to aerodynamic heating at the time of entry into the atmosphere or the like, and provide the required thermal protection function, even when the thickness of the ablator is reduced.
CONSTITUTION: Space 4 is formed between an ablator 1 and a support 2, and the ablator 1 is made separable from the support 2 through a separation mechanism 3. Also, the ablator 1 is separated from the support 2 on the operation of the mechanism 3, when a flight body again enters the atmosphere and a temperature level passes a heating peak for the ablator 1, or the temperature of the rear side thereof reaches the preset or higher level.
