Abstract:

To provide an ablation type image forming material and an image forming method using the same by which resolution is made high and an edge part is made sharp.

This ablation type image forming material satisfies relation being 4≤L/D≤15 assuming that the maximum intensity of a condensed laser beam is I, the diameter of a laser spot in the case of I/2 is L and the thickness of a layer related to forming an image is D when the image is formed by the radiation of the laser beam; and it satisfies relation being 12≤S/D≤125 assuming that the maximum intensity of the condensed laser beam is I, the laser beam condensed area in the case of I/2 is S and the thickness of the layer related to the forming the image is D when the image is formed by the radiation of the laser beam.
