This ablation type image forming material satisfies relation being 4≤L/D≤15 assuming that the maximum intensity of a condensed laser beam is I, the diameter of a laser spot in the case of I/2 is L and the thickness of a layer related to forming an image is D when the image is formed by the radiation of the laser beam; and it satisfies relation being 12≤S/D≤125 assuming that the maximum intensity of the condensed laser beam is I, the laser beam condensed area in the case of I/2 is S and the thickness of the layer related to the forming the image is D when the image is formed by the radiation of the laser beam.
