To obtain the subject enhancer introducing abnormal cells having increased cell number by acquiring abnormal proliferation potency to apoptosis and safe to a human body by including hyaluronic acid as an active component.
This enhancer contains hyaluronic acid (a linear polymeric polysaccharide obtained by β1→3 bonding of β-D-N-acetylglucosamine with β-D-glucuronic acid) preferably having 1,000-60,000 Da weight-average molecular weight or its salt, preferably a sodium salt as an active component. The enhancer effectively induces apoptosis by irritating abnormal cell (e.g. cancer cell, synovial cell of an animal of chronic rheumatic synovitis, etc.), strongly manifesting cell membrane antigen CD44 with hyaluronic acid. Preferably, the enhancer is used as a liquid formulation such as injection agent in using as a medical agent.
