Abstract:
To provide an abnormality diagnostic device for determining a factor of a start failure of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An abnormality diagnostic device is employed to an internal combustion engine 20 having a starter 21 and a crank angle sensor 22. The abnormality diagnostic device comprises a suction air amount sensor 23 for outputting a detection signal which differs according to the presence or absence of the rotation of a crankshaft. The abnormality diagnostic device comprises a factor determination part 12 for determining a factor of a start failure. When a change of a crank angle is not detected by the crank angle sensor 22 during electricity-carrying to the starter 21, and also when the rotation of the crankshaft is not detected by the suction air amount sensor 23, the factor determination part 12 determines that an abnormality occurs in the starter 21. On the other hand, when the change of the crank angle is not detected by the crank angle sensor 22 during the electricity-carrying to the starter 21, and also when the rotation of the crankshaft is detected by the suction air amount sensor 23, the factor determination part 12 determines that the abnormality occurs in the crank angle sensor 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
