Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality of cells by accurately arithmetically operating a deterioration factor of a battery pack without enlarging a communication load and an operation load.
SOLUTION: Cell controllers CC1 to CC12 control modules M1 to M12 composed of a plurality of cells, and calculate the deterioration factor for indicating a deterioration progress degree of the control cells C1 to C96, and detect the deterioration factor of the most deteriorated cell. The cell controller CC1 transmits the detected deterioration factor to the cell controller CC2. The cell controllers CC2 to CC11 compare a deterioration factor detected by oneself with the deterioration factor transmitted from the front stage cell controller, and transmits the deterioration factor of a smaller value to the next stage cell controller. The cell controller CC12 also performs the above processing, and transmits the deterioration factor of the smaller value to a battery controller 3. The battery controller 3 determines abnormality of the cells on the basis of the transmitted deterioration factor.
