Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting the presence/absence of abnormality in a vacuum valve forming a changeover circuit breaker with high accuracy without stopping operation of a load-time tap switching device.SOLUTION: A rotary encoder RE is mounted, via an Oldham joint 701 and an insulation shaft 702, to a drive shaft 4 of a cam mechanism 201 that turns on and turns off a first vacuum valve and a second vacuum valve forming the changeover circuit breaker in a predetermined sequence. An operational angular velocity in turning on the vacuum valves of three phases is detected from output of the encoder. If there is a difference equal to or more than a setting between a rotational speed in turning off the first vacuum valve of three phases and a rotational speed in turning off the second valve of three phases, it is detected that there is abnormality in the vacuum valve with the higher rotational speed in turning-off operation between the first and second vacuum valves of three phases.
