Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the abnormality detector for a zoom device which can detect such abnormality that a lens barrel does not act in the midst of a zooming action, without using a dedicated timer.
CONSTITUTION: The abnormality detection device is applied to the alternate driving system zoom device 2 constituted of a front group lens 22 integrally driven with the lens barrel 4 by a DC motor and a rear group lens 28 driven by a stepping motor. Then, the driving time of the DC motor and the stepping motor is added from the time that the moving amount of the lens 22 is extremely small. When the added result reaches a prescribed value and the moving amount of the lens 22 is equal to or under the prescribed amount, it is judged that the zoom device is abnormal.
