Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnosing device for fuel level detector that can accurately diagnose the defect of a fuel level detector in a relatively short time.
SOLUTION: Refueling is discriminated based on a second fuel level FLEVELR which is the small value of the output FLEVEL of a fuel level sensor 40 and the small value PEONVAVE of the internal pressure PTANK of a fuel tank (S134 and S139). When it is determined that refueling is being made (S145), the abnormality of the fuel level sensor 40 is diagnosed based on the rising speed DFLEVEL of the second fuel level FLEVELR.
