PURPOSE: To provide an abnormality signal generating apparatus capable of having a sufficient gap space between a cover part and an internal equipment.
CONSTITUTION: An abnormality detecting switch 5 is formed of a photoelectric switch formed by mutually facing a light emitting part 8 for emitting light and a light receiving part 9 for receiving the light with a space. A light shielding rib part 10 is protruded on the inner wall of a cover part 2, and the light emitted from the light emitting part 8 is shielded to suppress the incident light to the light receiving part 9. The light shielding rib part 10 has a gap space 12 of 2-3mm with an internal equipment 7. Even when the cover part 2 and an internal equipment base part 3 are formed with slightly poor precision, the switch can be formed with a simple structure without adding an unreasonable load to the internal equipment 7.
