PURPOSE: To efficiently and safely manufacture abrasive articles by forming abrasive articles such as abrasive pads and wrapping tools of injection molded polymer materials dispersed with abrasive materials uniformly over the whole.

CONSTITUTION: An abrasive pad 10 as an abrasive article include a flexible and flat sheet part 12, the sheet part 12 has a large number of abrasive projections 14, and preferably formed in an annular part having a lip-like part 16 on a circumferential end. A Velcro fastener 21 is fitted to a back side of the abrasive pad 10, and a reinforcement element 22 consisting of a woven material is provided as a backing base material. The abrasive pad 10 is formed of an injection molded polymer material in which the abrasive materials are uniformly dispersed over the whole, in particular, a thermoplastic polymer and a thermosetting polymer, and includes a secondary filler such as a diamond grid, silicon carbide and aluminum oxide as the abrasive materials.
