PURPOSE: To provide an abrasive article which can be easily combined for use, and a method for forming the abrasive article by providing a plurality of abrasive sheet members comprising of a main portion and an arm portion, and providing a means to join each abrasive sheet member in one row by joining the arm portion therewith.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of abrasive sheet members 102-106 are provided with an abrasive layer on a main surface 110, and comprise main portions 112-116 having a hole and a center, and a plurality of arm portions 120-154. The arm portions 120-154 are separate from adjacent arm portions 120-154 with specified angular intervals with respect to the center. In addition, the abrasive sheet members 102-106 are joined with joining means 160, 162. The joining means 160, 162 join one arm portion 128 and the other both arm portions 132, 142 among a plurality of adjacent abrasive sheet members 102, 104. Abrasive sheet members 100 arranged in one row are folded in Z-shape to constitute an abrasive article.
