PURPOSE: To improve an effective utilization factor of abrasive grains by dispersedly sintering a hard material whisker of high tensile force in a compound sintered composition being prevented from its damage and suppressing the abrasive grains from falling off.

CONSTITUTION: A hard material whisker, selected as a dispersant from the material of various hard material whiskers, and a hard material dust, selected as an auxiliary dispersant from the material of various hard material dust, are mixed in a solvent of water and methylalcohol or the like and stirred, thereby producing uniform dispersant liquid. Next the solvent is gasified and removed from this uniform dispersant liquid obtaining a uniform dispersing mixture being successively mixed with a binding material and abrasive grains, stirred, produced and used as a grindstone forming material. Next pressure heat-sintering this material, a compound sintered composition is produced with a compound sintered structure sintering to hold each abrasive grain as a part of the compound sintered composition. Now in this composition, a hard material whisker of high tensile force is despersedly sintered.
