To obtain an abrasive material that hardly damages the surface of a material to be cleaned, synergistically keeps antifouling effect, is hygienic and economical, excellently finishes a hard surface of glass, ceramic, porcelain, tile, metal, plastic, floor, or the like, in more detail, the surface to be cleaned of toilet, basin, bathroom, tableware, cooking tool, and the like, and to provide a sponge scrubbing brush.
The abrasive material is obtained by sticking silica and/or silicate-based abrasive particle aggregates to a nonwoven fabric. The sponge scrubbing brush is obtained by using the abrasive material. The average particle diameter of the abrasive particles is preferably 0.01-10 μm. The average particle diameter of the abrasive particle aggregates is preferably 0.4-150 μm.
