Abstract:
To provide an abrasive useful for precision treatment of a surface.
The abrasive can be a form of an abrasive layer chemically and/or physically bonded with a carrier, and the carrier is preferably made of a flexible material, a plastic for example. The abrasive also can take the form of a free abrasive substance containing no carrier. The abrasive is made of a diamond-like substance of an ultra-dispersion complex of at least atomic percent of 80, preferably contains carbon, and can take the form of a vacuum condensate containing bonded hydrogen and oxygen of atomic percent of 0.1 or less. The abrasive is obtained from a pulse flow of preferably accelerated electrically eroding plasma.
