To obtain an absorbed power measuring apparatus that measures absorbed power on the basis of an electromagnetic-field measured value by means of an electromagnetic-field probe by inserting the electromagnetic-field probe into a solid dielectric.
When electromagnetic-wave energy, which is radiated from an antenna 11 at an electromagnetic-wave transmitter 1 is directed to a solid dielectric 2, a part of it is absorbed and attenuated while it is passed through the solid dielectric 2, and it reaches an electromagnetic-field probe 21, which is inserted. After all, the electromagnetic-field probe 21 measures an electric-field strength as an attenuated result in a place into which it is inserted. An electric- field-strength signal which is measured by the electromagnetic-field probe 21 is supplied to a computing and display device 3 via a feeder 4. The computing and display device 3 computes, processes and displays electric power which corresponds to the supplied electric-field-strength signal and which is absorbed by the solid dielectric 2. The computing and display device 3 is provided with an electric field measured value-absorbed electric-power value conversion table, and an absorption power value can be found quickly by referring to the table.
