This absorbent article has a skin contact surface which is liquid- permeable, a skin non-contact surface which is not liquid-permeable, and an absorbing part 4 with liquid holding property, which is inserted between the skin contact surface and the skin non-contact surface, and the absorbing part 4 comprises an absorbing body 6 containing at least a highly absorbent polymer at least in the same or a different fiber aggregate, and an elastic material 7, and the elastic material 7 satisfies the conditions of 1) and 2) shown below, and its major component comprises a heat-weldable fiber. 1) The fiber orientation ratio is less than 5.0. 2) The bending rigidity is 0.05-2.0gf.cm.
