The absorbent article such as a diaper and an incontinence guard includes a pair of belts (9, 10) mounted to the back part (6) of the article in order to fix around the waist of a user together with the belt, wherein the article has a first fixation means (11) for intending to adhere one belt (9, 10) to the other belt part (9, 10), and a second fixation means (8) for intending to mount the front part (5) to the belts (9, 10) so that the article has a shape of a pant and the belts (9, 10) partly forms the waist region of the pant, and each of the belts (9, 10) is fitted with at least one mark (12) placed on a proper distance from the mounting part (13) to the back part (6), so that each mark (12) on one belt (9) has a corresponding mark on the opposite belt (10).
