To provide an absorbent article, where the problem of turn-up, twist, etc., of a hip-holding flap is settled at a high level.
A hip-holding flap HF is formed inside an imaginary line 11 drawn outwardly from the rear-side root part A of a wing-shaped flap W relative to a longitudinal line 10 at an angle 9° with the line 10. The external line of the hip-holding flap HF extending from the rear-side root A and leading to a point B at the maximum width existing at a rear part of the hip-holding flap HF is in the form of an arc with radius R1. This external line includes the wave lines of at least two or more concave lines 14a, 14b and convex lines 15a, 15b alternately existing inside another imaginary line 13 drawn outwardly from the point B at the maximum width at an angle 19° with the line 12, which is drawn from the point B at the rear part of hip-holding flap HF to an intersection point C of the point B at the rear part of the hip-holding flap HF, the longitudinal center line CL and the rearmost external line of the article.
