Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that is designed to achieve cost reduction by using wood pulp fiber as its material, is excellent in absorption speed and is less in an amount of liquid returned.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 200 comprises: a liquid permeable top sheet 202 forming a body-contact-side surface; a liquid-impermeable back sheet 204; and a sheet-like absorbent body 207 arranged between the top sheet and back sheet and formed from an absorption layer 207x having water absorbent resin and adhesive, the absorbent layer 207x being arranged together with core wrap sheets 207a, 207b in layers. In the absorbent article 200, the core wrap sheet is formed from pulp as principal component, is 15 to 45 g/min basis weight, is 60 to 230 water-g/min an amount of water absorption, is not greater than 25.0 sec/0.1 ml prescribed in the former JIS-S3104, is 100 to 600 μm in the height difference between the recess and projection of the surface of the core wrap sheet, and is 2 to 12% in the area rate of a recessed part of the surface.
