Abstract:
Provided is a tape-type absorbent article that has an easily expandable structure. The absorbent article has: a longitudinal direction (L); a width direction (W) orthogonal to the longitudinal direction; a front waist area (S3); a rear waist area (S1); a crotch area (S2) between the front waist area and the rear waist area; an absorber (40) disposed at least in the crotch area; a pair of flap parts (80) that extend, in the rear waist area, outward beyond the absorber in the width direction; and fastening tapes (90) that are provided to the pair of flap parts and that have hooks which engage with the front waist area. The fastening tapes have expandable folding parts that are folded in at least three layers. In a state where the absorbent article is folded, the flap parts are folded starting from longitudinal folding lines (FL3) along the longitudinal direction. In a state where the pair of flap parts are folded starting from the longitudinal folding lines, the fastening tapes provided to the pair of flap parts overlap with each other.
