Title:
ABSORBENT CAPSULE AND INFRARED GAS ANALYZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003177094
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an absorbent capsule that can inhibit the scattering of a solid absorbent due to sublimation while the inside of the capsule and the fresh air have sufficient breathing properties.

A capsule body is composed by forcing a PTFE rod 2 whose diameter is slightly larger than the inner diameter of an outer cylinder into a PTFE tube 1 that is the outer cylinder as a bottom lid. An absorbent 3 is filled into the capsule body under the environment where the fresh air is insulated as in a globe box, and a top lid 4 made of PTFE where an absorption hole 5 is open by a porous PTFE film 6 is forced in. Since the porous PTFE film 65 has sufficient breathing properties, vapor reaching the porous film 6 by the absorption hole 5 passes through the porous film 6 and may be absorbed by the absorbent 3 in the capsule. Moisture that is absorbed and liquefied into the capsule by the water repellency of PTFE is retained in the capsule. Additionally, the porous film 6 can prevent the absorbent 3 from being scattered.
