Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacture of an absorbent body (100) for an absorbent article including synthetic fibers (10b). Provided is a method for manufacture of an absorbent body (100), comprising: a conveyance step of conveying, to a depression part for accumulation (41) and using a conveyance part (3A), a plurality of sheet fragments (10bh) including synthetic fibers (10b) cut to prescribed lengths in a first direction (y-axis) and a second direction (x-axis) intersecting the first direction (y-axis); and an accumulation step of accumulating, in the depression part for accumulation (41), the plurality of sheet fragments (10bh) conveyed in the conveyance step, and obtaining an accumulation body (100a) that is a constituent member of the absorbent body (100). In the conveyance step, the sheet fragments (10bh) are conveyed in a dispersed state by means of an airflow generated within the conveyance part (3A).
