Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an absorber having sheet pieces containing synthetic fibers for inhibiting the deformation of the accumulation body contained in the absorber.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method includes: accumulation process for accumulating a plurality of sheet pieces 10bh containing synthetic fiber 10b and a hydrophilic fiber 10a to a recess part 41 for accumulation to form an accumulation body 100a; and a coating process for placing the accumulation body 100a on one surface of a core wrap sheet 100b to be transported, folding both sides of the core wrap sheet 100b along the transportation direction thereof, and covering both sides of the accumulation body 100a along the transportation direction. In the accumulation process, an accumulation body 100a having a first layer 100a1 and a second layer 100a2 laminated therein in a thickness direction is formed, the second layer having smaller density of the sheet piece 10bh than that of the first layer 100a1, and in the coating process, both sides bR and bL along the transportation direction of the core wrap sheet 100b are folded so as to come in contact with the surface of the second layer 100a2 of the accumulation body 100a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
