Abstract:
To provide an absorbent with a longer breaking period for methanol and a method of removing methanol from air containing methanol using the absorbent for methanol.
The absorbent for methanol is activated charcoal with the addition of one or more selected from oxides of copper, alkaline metal compounds. alkaline earth compounds and compounds of Al, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ca, Ni, Zn, Cd or Pd. The method is used for removing methanol by making the air containing the methanol contact the absorbent for methanol.
