To provide a selection between an impermeable type and a permeable type, to increase the amount of absorption of the impermeable type in the position of excretion and to increase the permeability of the permeable type to a diaper on its rear surface.

An absorbent pad includes: an absorber 23 whose intermediate part 23M is folded into a shape of a letter Ω so that it may be positioned above its front part 23F and its back part 23B; a liquid permeable top sheet 22 which covers surfaces from the front part 23F up to the back part 23B of the absorber 23; a liquid-impermeable back sheet 21 which has a front region 21F covering the rear surface of the front part 23F of the absorber 23 and a back region 21B being separate from it and covering the rear surface of the back part 23B of the absorber 23; liquid-impermeable adhesive agent layers 24 which continue from the rear surface of the back end of the front region 21F and the rear surface of the front end of the back region 21B in the width direction; and a release sheet 25 which is attached so that it may spread across the liquid-impermeable adhesive agent layer 24 of the front region 21F and the liquid-impermeable adhesive agent layer 24 of the back region 21B.
