Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent of polyphenols for which a solid-liquid separation operation is easy and a manufacturing method therefor for overcoming a situation that a particulate absorbent is used so far for removal of polyphenols in a liquid, therefore devices for filtration or centrifugation are needed for the solid-liquid separation operation, the operation is complicated and recovery of absorbed polyphenols is difficult.SOLUTION: The problem is solved by proposing a polyphenol absorbent having an amide group in a graft side chain of an organic polymer substrate. A polyphenol absorbent having large adsorption capacity by especially using a fiber as the organic polymer substrate and contacting a polymerizable monomer having the amide group after irradiating radiation. Further, larger graft ratio and polyphenols adsorption capacity can be obtained by conducting co-graft polymerization under coexistence of a polymerizable monomer which can be co-graft polymerized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
