Abstract:
Provided are absorbent resin particles that, when used in an absorbent article, provide little decrease in absorption rate or diffusibility even with repeated urination over an extended period of time, excellent surface dryness, and are unlikely to leak or cause a rash. The present invention provides absorbent resin particles that include: a crosslinking polymer (A1) that has, as essential structural units, a water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a hydrolyzable vinyl monomer (a2) and an internal crosslinking agent (b1); and a hydrophobic substance (C). A liquid permeation improver (D) is contained on the surface of the absorbent resin particles. The physiological saline retention amount is 25-60 g/g. The weight-average particle diameter is 250-600 μm. The ratio of particles having a particle diameter of less than 150 μm relative to the total weight of all absorbent resin particles is 3 wt% or less. The physiological saline permeation rate (mL/min) under 2.14 kPa load is 5 or greater. The absorption rate (sec) determined using the vortex method is 45 or less.
