Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruthenium absorbent capable of effectively adsorbing and removing ruthenium in water such as sea water.SOLUTION: A ruthenium absorbent contains manganese dioxide obtained by a chemical synthesis method. The manganese dioxide is preferably obtained by reducing permanganate by a reductant. In this case, the reductant is preferably sulfite, ferrous sulfate, oxalic acid or hydrogen peroxide. The manganese dioxide is preferably obtained by spraying an oxygen-containing gas to a metal manganese or a manganese alloy to generate manganese oxide containing MnOand then conducting an oxidation treatment on the manganese oxide to melt and remove Mncomponent and other impurity components.SELECTED DRAWING: None
