To provide an absorber in an absorption type refrigerator using a stacked plate-type heat exchanger and capable of efficiently cooling absorbent liquid.
The stacked plate-type heat exchanger constituted by alternately forming absorbent dropping flow channels 15 formed in parallel with a heat transfer plate 14 to allow ammonia vapor to be absorbed to the absorbent, and cooling fluid flow channels for cooling the absorbent, is used as the absorber 1, an absorbent spraying pipe 31 having a blowout nozzle portion 31a for blowing out the absorbent, is mounted in a supply hole portion 16 for absorbent or the like, formed on an upper part at one of right and left sides of the heat exchanger, the blowout nozzle portion is mounted in a state that the absorbent blowout direction becomes horizontal, when the absorber is vertically mounted, and further the heat exchanger is inclined to its vertical attitude at a prescribed angle α, so that one side of the heat exchanger is located at an upper position with respect to the other side.
