To solve a problem wherein conventionally, since during installation of a large absorption chiller and heater, it is divided and then, reassembled at the installation site through welding work, this causes a risk of fire due to sparks during the welding work and requires a large facility for the welding work and skilled technical staff to respond to the requirement for achieving high air tightness.
A shell and a regenerator, a condenser, an evaporator and an absorber stored in the shell are divided into a plurality of portions in the longitudinal direction. On the divided end face of the shell, a plurality of elastic seal members for surrounding all of the devices individually or in a combinational method and a flange having a fixation means formed on the outer extended part are provided. One flange and the other flange opposing to each other on the divided end faces are fixed by the fixation means so as to be dividable.
