Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption type chiller and heater capable of reducing the possibility of a failure of a component such as a screw conveyor and a motor.SOLUTION: The absorption type chiller and heater 1 which obtains cold water to be used for an air conditioner in a circulation cycle by an evaporator 18, an absorber 20, regenerators 10 and 14, and a condenser 16, includes a wood pellet supply device 40 for supplying a wood pellet to a combustion device 10a, and an ash discharge device 40 for guiding ash generated by burning the wood pellet to a drum 54 outside the combustion device 10a. The absorption type chiller and heater 1 further includes a level sensor 55 for detecting an ash level in the drum 54, and a controller 30 for giving a replacement warning when the ash level detected by the level sensor 55 is equal to or higher than a predetermined first level, and an abnormality warning when the ash level detected by the level sensor 55 is equal to or higher than a predetermined second level to stop the combustion operation.
