PURPOSE: To prevent a heat transfer efficiency upon turning-down from being lowered by arranging pipes of a dropping device by successively altering the heights of upper end openings of the pipes or the lengths of upper end folded portions of tin rods, and uniformly distributing the lengths of the pipes over the entire length of a gutter structure.
CONSTITUTION: A dropping device 13 is constructed with a gutter structure 14 in which a refrigerant solution or an absorption solution is temporarily stored and with a pipe 15 having one end 15 a opened into the gutter structure 14 and the other end hung from the bottom. Different types A, B, C of the pipes 15 having different heights of the upper end openings 15a are successively arranged and are uniformly distributed over the entire length of the gutter 14. Otherwise, there is employed a thin rod instead of the pipes 15 which rod has an upper end folded portion 16a being engaged with the upper edge of the side wall of the gutter 14 and has a lower end being hung along the external side surface of the gutter 14. There are provided three types of the thin rods 16 having different lengths of the upper end folded portions 16a, and are uniformly distributed successively in the array of A, B, C, A, B, C... over the entire length of the gutter 14.
