Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article having a surface material which is soft in the touch to the skin, has the high permeation ability of fluid, has a high function to prevent the turn back of the fluid and is extremely easy in manufacture.
SOLUTION: The absorptive article is provided with the surface material 10 on the surface of an absorptive core 8. The surface material 10 is formed by superposing upper layers 10a which are the bundles of continuous filaments 11a on lower layers 10b which are the bundles of the continuous filaments 11b and partially fusing these layers by joint lines 12 to a sheet form. The degree of hydrophilicity and density of the lower layers 10b are made higher than those of the upper layers 10a, by which the fluid permeability is improved and the turn back of the fluid is prevented. The surface material 10 may be manufactured by the simple process step of superposing and joining the continuous filaments 11a and 11b.
