PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article enabling a parent or a care giver to recognize an optimum replacement timing of the absorbent article.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 includes: a liquid impermeable back sheet 1; a liquid permeable top sheet 2 coupled with the liquid impermeable back sheet 1; a liquid holding absorber 3 having air permeability and positioned between the liquid impermeable back sheet 1 and the top sheet 2; and a water soluble microcapsule 4 on the liquid impermeable back sheet 1 side of the absorber 3, having a perfume component with bad odor as the core material, and letting the perfume component outflow when contacting excrement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
