PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which allows a wearer to grasp softness of the absorbent article before wearing the article, and feel an expectation to wearing feeling of the absorbent article.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises an absorber 30 arranged on a crotch area and a rear side area, a surface sheet 11 arranged on a skin facing surface side of the absorber, and an adhesive part 60 which is detachably engaged to an underwear. The absorber comprises an absorbent core 31 comprising an absorbent material, and a core wrap 32 formed of a nonwoven fabric. The surface sheet comprises a first layer 111 formed of the nonwoven fabric, and a second layer 112 formed of a nonwoven fabric containing fibers whose diameter is thicker than that of fibers of the nonwoven fabric of the first layer, and which is arranged closer to the non-skin facing surface side than the first layer. The rear side area comprises a compression area 51 on which compression parts are arranged, and a non-compression area 52 on which no compression part is arranged. The compression parts are arranged on the absorbent core and the surface sheet, and the non-compression area extends continuously from one end to the other end of the absorber, along a width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
