Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve liq. spreading properties, liq. returning properties and fitting properties by making the upper layer of a fiber assembly consisting of two layers hydrophilic, providing gap parts each with a continuous and cylindrical shape and a specified diameter distribution, in the direction where the upper and the lower layers are piled and in the layer-spreading direction, and providing the lower layer with a specified absorptive quantity of physiological saline.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a disposable diaper 1 has a liq. permeable top sheet 2, a liq. non-permeable back sheet 3 and an absorbent 4 positioned between these sheets. The absorbent 4 consists of two layers, namely, an upper layer 4a on the top sheet 2 side and a lower layer 4b on the back sheet 3 side. The upper layer 4a is hydrophilic and has gap parts 11 and 12 each being continuous, uniform and cylindrical shape in the direction where the two layers are piled and in the layer-spreading direction and is continuously extruded and drawn into a net-like shape. The gap part 11 in the piled direction has a diameter of the cylinder of 200μm to not larger than 1,000μm and the gap part extruded and drawn in the spreading direction has a diameter distribution wherein a peak exists at 100μm or smaller and the lower layer has an absorptive quantity of physiological saline of not smaller than 100g/100cm2.
